  - 회사 직원들이 오픈소스 프로젝트를 선정하고 매일 참여하도록 권장   
- 그후로 4년간 Microsoft, 존스 홉킨스 대학교, Salesforce, Sentry 등이 비슷한 프로그램을 시작   
- 2023년 1월에 블룸버그는 사내의 오픈소스 프로그램 사무국(OSPO)와 협업하여 투표를 진행   
- FOSS 펀드는 매 분기마다 투표를 통해 3건의 오픈소스를 선정하여 $10,000 씩을 후원   
- 첫번째 투표에서 5개가 지명되었고, 3개가 선정   
- 3개의 프로젝트가 첫번째 FOSS 펀드 수령자로 선정
