- 현재 유튜브가 베타로 지원하는 AV1 RTMP 인제스트에 OBS에서 직접 스트리밍 가능해짐(기본은 H.264였음)  
- 어도비/구글 등이 참여하는 비영리 단체인 VSO에서 Enhanced RTMP 스펙을 제안   
  - 20년된 RTMP 표준에 VP9, HEVC, AV1 등의 최신 코덱을 지원하게 확장   
  - 관련코드를 OBS에 PR로 제출했고 머지됨   
- 최신 GPU는 AV1 인코딩을 지원하여 이를 통해 AV1 스트리밍 가능해짐
