- IBM이 24코어 Power 10 프로세서 출시 계획을 조용히 발표   
- Oracle DB Standard Edition 2(SE2)는 2개의 소켓을 가진 서버에만 라이센스 가능  
→ 코어 숫자에는 상관하지 않으므로, 라이센스를 바꾸지 않고 성능 향상 가능  
- 2019년에 Lenovo가 출시했던 ThinkSystem SR655 서버는 1개의 CPU소켓에 64코어 AMD Epic 7002를 장착   
  - 그때 Lenovo가 홍보하길, 이런 멀티코어 머신이 Vmware 하에서 VM을 돌리기에 좋다는 것  
  - VMWare역시 소켓당 라이센스를 팔았기 때문  
  - 그래서 VMWare는 32코어가 넘는 CPU를 추가 소켓이 있는 것으로 계산하게 라이센스를 변경했음  
- 고객들로부터 수익을 최대화 하는 걸로 악명높은 Big Red는 과연 어떻게 반응할까?

레지스터에서 확대 해석한 줄 알았는데.. 실제 IBM 발표에 오라클 얘기가 들어있군요..
