1995년 SSH 1.0 릴리즈 당시 텔넷/23과 FTP/21사이가 비어있었음.

IANA에 메일 보냈더니 바로 다음날 할당 되었다는 확인 메일을 보내줬다고

글 내용에 Jon Postel 박사에게 메일 보내긴 부담이었다고 적혀있는데,

"인터넷의 아버지" 존 포스텔 은 1969년부터 1998년 사망할 때까지

IANA의 관리자이자 RFC 에디터였고, 인터넷을 이루는 중요 RFC를 대부분 작성하신 분.

약 200개 이상의 RFC를 작성 또는 공동 작성 하였음.
