## Topic Body

- 아마존 리전에 퍼져 있는 위성 연결 & 원자 시계들의 집합을 이용하여 UTC 표준 시간을 제공   
- 예전엔 EC2 인스턴스를 통해서만 제공 되었음   
- 이제는 추가로 time.aws.com 을 통해서 공개 NTP 서비스로 이용 가능   
- AWS 외부에 있는 IoT 장비 및 온프레미스 인프라에서도 이용 가능해짐   
- 윤초 발생시 UTC 정오부터 24시간 선형 스미어(smear)를 사용하여 추가/제거하여 자동으로 처리
