- SemiAnalysis 의 Dylan Patel에 의하면, 애플이 임베디드 코어의 일부를 RISC-V로 변경 중  
- 애플 실리콘에는 OS 및 엔드유저 어플리케이션을 실행하는 메인 코어외에 30 개 이상의 다른 SoC들이 있음   
- 주로 WiFi/BlueTooth, ThunderBolt 재타이밍, 터치패드 제어, NAND 칩들도 자신의 코어가 있음. 각각은 자신의 펌웨어로 실행됨  
- 이들 코어의 대부분은 Arm M 시리즈 또는 저사양 A 시리즈 기반으로 되어있으나, 애플은 이들을 RISC-V로 대체하려고 하는 중   
- 이렇게 하면 라이센스 피를 아낄 수 있음   
- 따로 발표될 것이 아니기에, 언제 이렇게 될 지는 알 수 없음  
- 또한 메인 코어는 계속 ARM ISA이기 때문에 변경되더라도 소비자들은 알 수 없을 것
