- 미국의 전설적인 B-52 Stratofortress 폭격기는 70년전에 처음 비행을 시작   
- 2050년까지 운용해서 100년을 찍을 것  
- 후속기인 B-1B Lancer, B-2 Spirit이 있지만.. B-2는 이미 단종되었고, B-1B도 2036년 퇴역 예정.   
- 놀라운건 이 비행기가 보잉의 엔지니어 6명이 주말동안 호텔방에서 설계가 되었다는 것   
- 48시간만에 설계를 끝낸 B-52는 4년 후에 비행을 시작
