MidJourney가 올초에 나와서 사람들이 엄청 많이 쓰고 있는데요. 좀 많은 맥락을 붙이자면, 아래와 같습니다.  
  
1. 2021년에 OpenAI에서 결과물이 쩌는 Text-to-image AI인 Dall-E 출시  
2. 초대 받은 소수에 사람들만 쓸 수 있어서, 비슷한 Open Source 프로젝트들이 있었지만 성능이 떨어짐.  
3. [Disco Diffusion](https://github.com/alembics/disco-diffusion)이라는 이름의 모델을 누가 공개했고, Google Colab에서 쓰기 쉬운 형태로 제공되어 비개발자 (주로 예술하는 분들)도 많이 사용하게 됨  
4. 2022년 초 MidJourney 출시, Disco Diffusion으로 작업하던 사람들 위주로 Close-beta로 운영  
5. Dall-E 2 출시과 public beta 시작  
6. MidJourney public beta 시작 후, 3달 사이에 몇천명 있던 Discord 서버가 90만명이 넘는 인원으로 늘어남

오픈소스 모델인 Disco Diffusion은 지금 시점에 누가 쓰냐 할 수 있지만, text-to-image를 넘어 text-to-video까지 할 수 있는 건 아직도 Disco Diffusion 밖에 없습니다 [예시](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg64fHFPo_5/). MidJourney와 Dall-E도 할 수는 있겠지만, 현실적으로 서버비 때문에 불가능 할거에요.

얼마나 실사용을 사람들이 할 지 모르겠지, 잘만 된다면 이전 GN에 올라왔던 글 처럼 다달이 용돈벌이 되는 쏠쏠한 용돈벌이가 되겠네요.  
  
어떤 GPU를 쓰는지 모르겠고 1GPU Time이 몇 ms인지 모르겠으나 장당 가격으로 봤을 때 적자볼일은 없어보이는군요...
