- NIST(미국 국립표준기술연구소)가 기존 암호 체계와 달리 양자 컴퓨터가 해독하기 힘든 암호 체계인 양자내성암호 표준 4개를 선정.  
- 2016년부터 시작된 NIST 양자내성암호 대회(Post-Quantum Cryptography Competition)에 제출받은 암호 알고리즘들을 4회를 걸쳐 검증함.

- CRYSTALS-Kyber, CRYSTALS-Dilithium, FALCON은 격자 기반 암호이며, SPHINCS+는 해시 기반 암호.
