## Topic Body

- 2023년 1월에 새로운 법인을 출범하고 501(c)(3) 비영리 단체로   
- 1994년에 처음 만들때는 호스팅 모델로 출범. 미국(MIT),일본(Keio),프랑스(Inria),중국(Beihang) 4개 파트너가 호스팅   
- 웹의 빠른 변화와 요구를 감당하기 위해 더 강력한 거버넌스가 필요하여 그 간의 경험을 바탕으로 새로운 조직을 구성  
- W3C를 둘러싼 조직만 변경되는 것이며, 표준 개발 프로세스는 유지  
- 이사회는 W3C 회원에서 선출하며, 멤버 계약 및 직원 이전 등의 작업이 진행될 예정
