- 제품에 대해 객관적으로(차갑게) 알아둘 것(경쟁자부터 시장 상황등을 구매자 보다 더)  
- 실제 이메일 사례를 포함한 고객 조사 자료를 첨부할 것(VC들은 진짜 고객과 대화하기를 원함)  
- 신뢰를 쌓을 것  
- 시간을 엄수하고 프로처럼 행동할 것  
- VC에 대해서 자료 조사할 것   
- 자신만의 투자메모 작성하기(입장을 바꿔서 내가 VC라면 나의 스타트업에 투자할 것인지)  
- 발표를 연습할 것(친구들과 다른 CEO들 앞에서)  
- 가끔 정말 그들은 다음번에 투자할수 도 있음(아직 너무 일찍이기 때문에)  
- VC들의 브랜드나 펀드 규모보다 신뢰가 더 중요함. 몇 년이상 그들과 함께 가게 될 것
