Adobe Flash, Google Cloud SDK 등 상용 소프트웨어나 오픈소스이지만 바이너리만 제공하는 패키지를 제공했던 저장소인 Canonical Partner Archive를 Ubuntu 22.04 LTS 부터는 폐지하는 방안을 논의하고 있다는 소식입니다.

이미 해당 패키지 저장소가 21.10 부터 비어 있었던 점, Snap Store 가 이미 어느정도 역할을 대체하고 있기 때문이라고 하네요.

Canonical 과는 이미 논의가 되었고, 커뮤니티에서 별다른 반대 의견이 없다면 폐지 단계를 밟을 것으로 보이네요.
