"Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion Virtual Machine"

- SCUMM은 루카스아츠가 1987년 고전 어드벤처 게임인 "매니악 맨션"을 만들면서 개발한 게임 엔진 및 개발 언어

ㅤ→ 10여년간 사용되면서 룸, 인디아나존스, 원숭이섬의 비밀 등 다양한 게임이 이 기반으로 출시 되었고, 이걸 현대의 하드웨어에서 돌릴 수 있도록 만든 게 ScummVM

ㅤ→ 그동안 많은 발전을 거치면서 대부분의 고전 어드벤처/롤플레잉 게임들을 지원하는 엔진이 되었음

- DOSBOX등 하드웨어 및 OS를 에뮬레이트하는 엔진들과는 약간 달리, 게임을 직접 실행하는 방식이어서 자원을 적게 쓰고 성능이 빠름

ㅤ→ 윈/맥/리눅스/iOS/Android 등 다양한 플랫폼 지원

- 20주년을 맞아 2.5.0 버전 출시

ㅤ→ 18년간 별도로 개발되던 자매 프로젝트인 ResidualVM과 합병을 발표. Grim Fandango, Myst 3, The Longest Journey 등이 지원 가능해짐

ㅤ→ 그 외에 새로 추가된 게임들 : Little Big Adventure, Transylvania, The Journeyman Project 2, Crusader: No Remorse

ㅤ→ GUI 완전히 개선. UTF-32로 변경되고, 한국어 지원이 추가됨

ㅤ→ scummkor 프로젝트를 통해서 다양한 한국어 팬 번역이 추가 : Castle of Dr. Brain, EcoQuest 1, Gabriel Knight 1, King’s Quest 1/5/6, Laura Bow 2, Space Quest 4

저 LBA 랑 Crusader 굉장히 좋아했는데 다시 보니 반갑네요.

Crusader는 Ultima 시리즈의 제작사 Origin Systems가 만든 액션게임입니다.

찾아보니 마침 GOG 에서 둘 다 할인하고 있네요. ScummVM이 지원한다는거 알고 한걸까요 ㅎ
