Cloudflare와 Apple이 개발하고 있는 ODoH(Oblivious DNS-over-HTTPS)는 프린스턴대학의 "Oblivious DNS: Practical Privacy for DNS Queries" 연구에 기반해서 DNS 쿼리의 인터넷 사용자 의존성을 분리했다. DNS 쿼리를 암호화해서 프록시 서버에 보내기 때문에 프록시는 그 안을 볼 수가 없고 DNS 리졸버는 누가 쿼리를 보냈는지 알 수가 없다.
