## Topic Body

클래식 에디터를 사용하기로 마음을 먹고 vim로 시작해  emacs로 변절하게 되었습니다.

이맥스를 사용해서 개발환경을 구축하는 방법에 대한 글입니다.

지금은 개인적인 이유로 IDE를 더 많이 사용하지만 아직도 이맥스에서 쾌적함을 느낍니다.

너무 많은 모드를 적어주셔서 도리어 emacs에 거부감을 가지는 분들이 많을까 걱정되네요 :-D

언어별 모드 + vc-mode 만해도 개발할때 충분하지 않나 싶고요, flycheck정도만 추가해도 괜찮습니다.

예전에 emacs 도 써본적은 있는데, 제 업무 패턴은 각 서버에 접속해서 일하는 경우도 많아서 결국은 vim 을 쓰게 되네요. emacs 는 IDE 처럼 주로 사용하는 개인 환경에 세팅해놓고 쓰면 좋은데 그렇지 않으면 vim 이 나은 것 같더라고요.

순수 emacs를 5년째 사용하고 있습니다.

몇몇 언어 (e.g. 파이썬, OCaml, ...) 에 대해서는 IDE 만큼의 생산성을 가진다고 개인적으로 느낍니다.

하지만 c/c++나 java 같이 IDE가 엄청나게 발달해 있는 경우는 조금 어렵네요. 그래도 웬만한건 다 mode가 지원되어서 쓰기 좋습니다.

무엇보다 재밌습니다. 그리고 커맨드가 유닉스 기본과 겹치는 부분이 많다보니 tmux나 bash에도 종종 써먹곤 합니다.

써보진 않았지만 누군가가 손가락 건강(?)을 위해서는 emacs가 좋은 선택은 아니라는 이야기도 읽었는데 어떤 의견이신지 궁금합니다. :-)

이맥스 유저는 아닙니다만, Ctrl + CV가 많은 작업을 며칠 하다 보니 그 뒤부터 새끼손가락이 아프기 시작하더군요. 그래서 이맥스를 쓰려면 Alt(Command) 키를 Ctrl 키 대신에 쓰는 것이 필수일 듯 합니다. 엄지손가락을 쓰면 좀 나으니까요.

Capslock -> ctrl

Command(alt) -> meta

보통 이렇게 매핑해서 사용합니다.

한 3시간 이상 장시간 작업하면 새끼 손가락이 조금 아프긴합니다 ㅎㅎ..

*nix 에서는 tweak 으로 caps lock에 ctrl을 맵핑해서 사용하면 괜찮습니다.

아 컨트롤도 매핑해야 하죠. HHKB를 오래쓰다보니 까먹었네요 ㅎㅎ

meta키를 command키로 변경해서 사용하기때문에 괜찮습니다. 아무 문제없습니다 :)

개인적으로 그런 걱정은 vim 에서 매번 esc키를 매번 누를 걱정과 비슷한것 같습니다 :)

실제로 esc키는 거의 사용하지 않죠..

쓰기 어려운  https://www.spacemacs.org/ 설치해서 vim과 혼용해서 쓰는 것도 좋은 거 같아요

개인적으로는 https://github.com/hlissner/doom-emacs 를 추천합니다.
