Redis 개발자인 Antirez가 더 이상 새로운 것을 만드는 것이 아닌 소프트웨어 유지보수만 하는 것에 지쳐서, 한발 물러나 Redis 에 대한 새로운 기회를 제공하는 아이디어를 내는 위치로 옮기겠다고 발표

"본질적으로, 나는 좋은 프로그래머보다는 나쁜 예술가로 기억되고 싶습니다."

"그렇다고 코딩을 안할 것 같지는 않아요. 코딩은 너무 재미있어요 :D"

Redis 는 이제 Redis 커뮤니티가 유지보수 하고 발전시키게 될 것

개인적인 프로젝트로 시작했으면 그럴 법하더라고요.

처음에는 자신이 상상하던 프로그램을 만드는 맛으로 만들다가, 자신이 뜻하지도 않게 대박이 나면 서 그 프로젝트를 유지보수하게 되는 상황으로 바뀌겠죠. 그리고 유지보수는 재미가 없으니...

그래도 10년 넘게 했던게 대단합니다.

11년이나 한 프로젝트에 매달렸으면 이런 말을 할수 있을 것 같네요.
