미 법무부에서 구글의 검색 독점에 대한 매각명령을 내린 것에 대해, Google쪽에서 해당 명령은 부당하며, 그에 대한 구제책으로 아래와 같은 역제안을 발표했습니다.  
  
* 브라우져의 검색엔진 계약  
  * 12개월마다 계약을 갱신하며, 그때마다 새롭게 경쟁 브라우져와 입찰 진행  
* Android  
  * 제조사가 다양한 검색엔진을 선탑재 할 수 있도록 허용  
  * 제조사 파트너에게 유연한 선택권을 부여해, 경쟁사 앱이 포함될 수 있도록 허용
