MTU(Maximum Transmission Unit)은 한개의 패킷이 최대 어느정도 까지 가능한지를 명시 하는것.

로컬 이더넷에서는 점보프레임을 설정시 9000까지도 가능하지만, 인터넷에서는 1500이 표준.

이 값은 이더넷 초기에 장비 및 전송 효율을 위해서 엔지니어들이 고른 매직 넘버 라고.
