Alire는 Ada와 SPARK를 위한 패키지 관리도구입니다. Rust의 `cargo`와 OCaml의 `opam`과 유사하게 작동합니다.  
  
2022년, GNAT Comunity Release를 제공하던 AdaCore사는 제공 중단을 선언했습니다. Ada IDE, 컴파일러와 디버거, 각종 라이브러리를 통합 제공하던 GNAT Community release가 중단되면서 오픈소스 커뮤니티는 Alire로 전환하게 되었습니다.

Alire는 패키지 관리 뿐만 아니라, 컴파일된 GNAT과 GDB 바이너리도 제공합니다. IDE는 Visual Studio Code + [Ada Extension](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=AdaCore.ada)을 사용하거나, AdaCore의 [GNAT Studio](https://github.com/AdaCore/gnatstudio/releases)를 사용할 수 있습니다.  
  
빌드는 여전히 [GPRBuild](https://github.com/AdaCore/gprbuild)가 사용됩니다.
