## Topic Body

- Rome은 2020년에 새롭게 등장한 자바스크립트 툴 체인  
- Rome은 처음에 Meta OSS라는 이름으로 시작했고 제작자인 Sebastian McKenzie가 Rome Tools Inc.라는 회사를 설립하여 Rome 프로젝트 출시  
- 하지만 회사는 어려워졌고 결국 모든 직원 해고됨  
- 이후에도 메인테이너들이 꾸준히 기여를 하고 있었지만 상표권 문제 등 유지 관리에 한계가 있었음  
- 이에 기존 Rome 메인테이너들이 포크하여 새롭게 Biome 프로젝트 시작

Rome는 여기서 알게된 프로젝트였는데 중단된지 좀 지났지만 이제서야 알게돼서 올립니다.
