- 핑거프린팅 이라 불리는 기법을 통해서 사용자/기기를 인식하는 하는 것의 오용을 막기 위해   
- 앱 리뷰 제출시에 왜 특정 API를 사용하는지 명시하도록 요구하여, 리뷰 프로세스가 더 엄격해질 예정  
- 몇몇 API들은 "Required Reason API" 라고 분류되며, 해당 API를 사용할 경우 Privacy Manifest에 이유를 적어야함   
  - File timestamp API, System boot time API, Disk space API, Active Keyboard API, User defaults API 등
