* 구글 지도 대신 상업적으로, 어떤 용도로든지, 무료로 이용할 수 있는 지리공간 데이터(지도)를 구축하는 것을 목표로 함  
* 데이터셋은 [Apache Parquet](https://parquet.apache.org/docs/) 포맷으로, AWS S3 및 MS 애저를 통해 배포  
* 네 가지 테마로 구성  
  * 장소 테마: 총 5,900만 개의 관심 지점(POI), 메타 및 MS의 장소 데이터를 기반으로 함, [CDLA Permissive 2.0](https://cdla.dev/permissive-2-0/)으로 배포  
  * 건물 테마: 총 7억 5,900만 개의 건물, 오픈스트리트맵 및 Microsoft Building Footprints, Esri 커뮤니티 파트너 데이터를 기반으로 함, [ODbL](https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/)로 배포  
  * 교통 테마: 오픈스트리트맵 데이터를 기반으로 함, [ODbL](https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/)로 배포  
   * 행정 경계 테마: 국경 및 바로 아래의 하위 구역(한국의 경우 시/도) 데이터 제공, Esri와 TomTom의 데이터를 기반으로 함, [CDLA Permissive 2.0](https://cdla.dev/permissive-2-0/)으로 배포
